Jennie K. Salerno Snider, 94, of Hutchinson, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at Fairmont Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Wyatt, April 10, 1922, a daughter of the late Tony and Maria Rose Iaquinta Salerno. She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Davis Snider, who passed away December 19, 1963. Jennie is survived by four daughters, Maryannia Tichenor, Penny Kay Koski and husband Sonny, all of Fairmont, Terry Jo Morrison, Bridgeport, Toni Jean Young and husband George, Joetown, ten grandchildren, Michael Tichenor and wife Cheryl, Manassas, VA, Debbie Hearn Fairmont, Stephen Koski and wife Renee, Suwannee, GA, Eddie Koski and wife Gina, Fairmont Jeff Koski, Scottsdale, AZ, Chris Morrison, and wife Billie, SC, Scott Morrison and wife Jodie, NC, Rebekah Myers and husband Stephen, NC, Theresa Michael and husband Mark, Mannington, Cricket Russell and husband Scott, Mannington, fifteen great grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, one sister, Polly Costa, Fairmont, two brothers, Jimmy Salerno, Shinnston, Bill Salerno and his wife Martha, Pine Bluff, and several nieces and nephews. Jennie is also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Sonny Tichenor, five brothers, Patsy Salerno, Sam Salerno, Joe Salerno, Albert Salerno, and Tony Salerno, Jr., four sisters, Rose Carr, Mary Therrian, Antionette Ruggerio, and Teresa Butcher, and six other siblings in infancy. Jennie worked 42 years as a bookkeeper for Salerno Brothers and also worked at Jimmy’s Diner. She was a member of Swisher Hill Union Mission.
The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston from 2-8pm Sunday, where funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, July 25, with Pastor Roy Clark officiating. Interment will be in the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
