Gary L. “Chip” Dotson, 60, of Gregory Run Rd passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the home of his friend in Wallace.
Chip was born February 16, 1957 in Wallace a son of the late Kenneth Glenn and Florence Elizabeth Edgell Dotson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Debra Denise Heater Dotson who passed away in 2001.
He is survived by his children, Michelle Harbert and her husband Jason of Clarksburg; Contessa Dotson and her fiancé Matt Hussell of Wallace; and Shane Dotson and his companion Jody Dennison also of Wallce; his grandchildren, Dakota Dotson, Chayton Harris, Jason Harbert, Briar Harbert, and Peyton Hussell. Also surviving are his brothers, Daniel Dotson of Clarksburg; Kevin Dotson and his wife Jennifer of Lumberport; and Ricky Dotson and his wife Bernice of TN; as well as his best friend, Larry Gump and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Chip was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Shreves; his brother, Timmy Dotson; his nephew, Kenneth Dotson; and his sister-in-law, Judy Dotson.
Chip was employed by Southern States in Clarksburg for nearly 20 years as a Propane sales representative and delivery driver. He loved to hunt, fish, and go four-wheeling with his friends.
The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston on Friday, January 19th from 6-8 PM and a celebration of Chip’s life will be held by his family at a later date. Online condolences can be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com.
